Virat Kohli On IPL Retirement Plans: "There's An End Date To Our Career...

After 18 years of effort, Virat Kohli finally lifted the IPL trophy. Despite numerous attempts, success eluded him until IPL 2025. RCB played consistently throughout the season and reached their fourth IPL final. In a nail-biting match, they triumphed over Punjab Kings by six runs to secure their maiden title.

And now, the star cricketer has shared his thoughts on retirement after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) clinched their first IPL title.

Kohli's Reflections on Retirement

Post-match, Kohli discussed his future plans, acknowledging that retirement isn't far off. He expressed a desire to look back with pride when he eventually retires. At 36, Kohli emphasised the importance of focusing on the present and continuously improving his skills.

"Well, I have an opportunity to play this game for not many years," Kohli stated after the match. "So there is an end date to our career, as you know. And by the time that I hang up my boots, I want to sit at home and say I gave it everything I had. So I look for ways to improve."

RCB's Grand Celebration Plans

The RCB management has organised a grand celebration in Bengaluru to commemorate their victory. Players are scheduled to arrive in the city at 1:30 pm and will meet Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha by 3:30 pm. A victory parade will commence at 5 pm from Vidhana Soudha to M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The stadium festivities will kick off at 6 pm IST. Fans can enter the ground, but no ticketing system has been announced yet. It seems likely that entry will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
