Virat Kohli Leaves For Indore To Participate In India Vs Afghanistan 2nd T20, Here's What Surprises Fans

After a long wait of 14 months, Indian fans will see their favourite cricketer Virat Kohli batting again in the T20 format on Sunday, when Team India will lock horns against Afghanistan at Indore's Holkar Stadium. It will be the second battle between both sides in the three-match series, where, Rohit Sharma and men will eye to square their lead and lock the series, while the Afghan army will try to level the scores. To strengthen the Indian batting lineup, Virat Kohli on Saturday was spotted at Mumbai Airport leaving for Indore. He skipped the first match due to personal reasons.

In a viral video, that garnered thousands of views and likes on social media platforms, Virat Kohli can be seen entering the airport. Ex-RCB skipper, known for his on-field aggression and powerful batting, was this time lauded by fans for his stylish car. Sharing Virat Kohli's airport video, a user on X said, "Champ Virat Kohli is off to Indore for 2nd #INDvAFG T20I! ✈️" Another user, who was impressed with Virat's grand entry and stylish Mercedes Benz car, called the car a 'beast'.

Recalling Virat's importance in the side, former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Saba Kareem said Kohli plays a crucial role at No. 3 and he should stick to his familiar role to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup slated for June in the West Indies and the USA.

"Virat Kohli will come in and there is a strong possibility that he will open the batting with Rohit Sharma. I am looking at Virat Kohli at No. 3. Keeping in mind that the World Cup is to be played in West Indies and USA, India will be playing on slow wickets. You need someone who can control the entire innings and I think Rohit Sharma is backing Virat Kohli to play that role. Come at No. 3 and control the innings, remain an anchor right till the end - be it setting a target or chasing. Once Virat Kohli is back, I would like to see him at No. 3," he said in the post-match analysis on Star Sports.
