Tilak Verma Injury: Ind Vs SA 3rd T20 Man Of The Match Fell Awkwardly While Catching; Shares Update

Team India registered a thrilling 11-run victory over South Africa in the 3rd T20I at Centurion's SuperSport Park on Wednesday. Young batter Tilak Varma emerged as a star as he scored a blitzkrieg ton. He was awarded Player of Match award.

But unfortunately, in last minutes of the nail-biting encounter, Tilak Verma suffered an injury scare. In an attempt to catch the ball, he landed awkwardly on ground with head tounching the ground.

However, after the match, the cricketer shared update on his condition stating He is alright.

"I am okay! the catch came through the lights, so a little difficult but happy for the win," Tilak said during the post-match presentation. His unbeaten 107 off 56 balls included eight fours and seven sixes.

Tilak credited captain Suryakumar Yadav for his success. "All credit goes to captain Suryakumar Yadav. He has given me an opportunity (at three)," he mentioned. His innings helped India post a formidable total of 219 for six.

India's Nerve-Wracking Finish

South Africa's Marco Jansen threatened India's lead with a rapid 16-ball fifty. However, India held their nerve in the death overs to restrict South Africa to 208 for seven, securing their victory.

With this victory, Team India is now ahead 2-1 in the four-match series. The last game of the four match series will be played on Friday, November 15 in Johannesburg, where hosts will try to level the series.
