Sunil Gavaskar Lauds Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur's Teams For Fantastic Performances In 2023
Sunil Gavaskar aka the little master of Indian cricket on Monday reviewed and lauded Team India's performance during 2023. Impressed by India's triumphs even during the nail-bitters, and how players managed to handle pressure and deliver their best, Gavaskar lauded everything he saw on the field by India's men and women teams led by Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur respectively.
Highlighting the men's team's performance at the ICC World Cup and the World Test Championship in 2023, Sunil Gavaskar said that's been the most exciting aspect of cricket."

Just like any other India cricket fan, the former cricketer recalled heartbreaking moments of last year saying "Ten straight wins and then just one bad day, which sadly happened to be the finals of the World Cup. So really some exciting time in 2023."
Gavaskar expressed a similar view about the women's cricket team too. Under Harmanpreet Kaur's captaincy, Indian women defeated England and Australia. Since 1977, this was the first time when India outclassed Australia in a test.
Gavaskar during a show on Star Sports said, "I think it's been a fantastic year for both men's and women's team, particularly the way the women's team has performed."
He added that "those two test wins towards the year-end, one against England and one against Australia, both teams against whom the Indian women's team have had tough times earlier."
