Mohammed Siraj Gets Rakhi From Zanai Bhosle — Internet Reacts With Break-Up Buzz

What started as whispers over a viral birthday picture has turned into a full-blown internet saga. First came the murmurs of a budding romance between singer Asha Bhosle's granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, and Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj. Then came the clarifications. Now, in the most symbolic way possible, Zanai has once again shut down the speculation - by celebrating Raksha Bandhan with Siraj and putting their bond firmly in the "brother-sister" category for all to see.

In January this year, Zanai had already taken to Instagram to insist Siraj was "like a brother" to her after relationship rumours began circulating. On Saturday, she doubled down on that statement, posting a heartwarming Raksha Bandhan video with him on Instagram.

In the clip, Zanai, dressed in a vibrant green salwar suit, is seen tying a rakhi on Siraj's wrist, while Siraj - in a classic white kurta-pyjama - smiles warmly. The moment ended with him handing her a shagun ka lifafa. Her caption read: "Ek hazaron mein💫❤️ Couldn't have asked for better."

The internet, of course, had its say. "Bruh, the things one has to do because of rumours," one commenter teased. Another scoffed, "Such a high-school thing to do." The dating chatter began after a photo of Zanai and Siraj chatting at her 23rd birthday party on January 16 went viral. The star-studded event featured Jackie Shroff, Abhay Verma, Ayesha Khan, and cricketers Suyash Prabhudessai, Siddhesh Lad, and Shreyas Iyer. Soon after, Zanai posted a picture with Siraj, calling him "Mere pyaare bhai (my dear brother)✨🌸."

Siraj himself addressed the gossip with a poetic social media post: "Meri behen ke jaisi koi behna nahin. Bina iske kahin bhi mujhe rehna nahin. Jaise hai chaand sitaaron mein, meri behna hai ek hazaaro mein" (There is no one like my sister. I can't stay anywhere without her. She is one of a kind, like the moon among the stars).

Zanai Bhosle's Career
Like her legendary grandmother, Zanai has carved a niche for herself in music. She has released singles such as Main Heer Teri and Kehndi Hai, and appeared in Asha Bhosle's music video Saiyaan Bina. Earlier this year, she joined AR Rahman's Wondermen Tour, performing at the opening concert at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on May 3.
