Sunita Ahuja Breaks Silence On Govinda's Alleged Affairs: 'I'd Want A Son Like Govinda, Not A Husband'

Sunita Ahuja, currently seen as a contestant on Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh's reality show Lock Upp, once again addressed the long-discussed topic of Govinda's alleged extra-marital affairs. In a candid conversation on the show, she spoke about choosing peace over confrontation. She said that her focus is now on her children and personal well-being.

'Thinking About It Will Only Make My Diabetes Worse'

While chatting with fellow contestant Shreya Kalra, Sunita reflected on the remarks she has made in previous interviews regarding her marriage.

When asked about infidelity, she said, "If it happened, what can I do now? It's been there since the beginning, hasn't it? He's a hero, so you can't really say anything. At this stage of my life, if I keep thinking about it, my diabetes will only get worse. I just let things be."

When Shreya asked whether those incidents still hurt her, Sunita replied, "It's okay. I live for my kids."

She also dismissed the idea of constantly monitoring her husband. She said, "Can you stop someone if they want to do something? Am I supposed to sit in front of him 24 hours a day? Anyone would get irritated. I don't even think about it anymore."

'I Need My Privacy'

Sunita revealed that she and Govinda live in separate homes.

"We have two houses. A lot of people come to meet him at his place. I prefer my own space and privacy," she shared.

'I'd Want A Son Like Govinda, Not A Husband'

Sunita has spoken openly about her marriage on several occasions over the past year. In an earlier interview, she described Govinda as an ideal son and brother.

"I'll say it again, Govinda is a wonderful son and brother. But as a husband, I wanted someone who would enjoy life with me. I love going to parties, travelling and going out for dinner. He was always so busy working and providing for the family that he never really experienced life for himself," she had said.

"He's such a huge superstar, yet what has he really experienced for himself? Sometimes I say I'd want a son like Govinda, not a husband. But after 40 years together, there's no point regretting anything now. Leaving him isn't even something I think about."

Govinda Calls Affair Claims A 'Conspiracy'

Over the past year, Sunita has repeatedly hinted at Govinda's alleged extra-marital relationships. Govinda recently broke his silence on the matter in an interview with ANI.

The actor said he decided to speak because remaining silent was creating the impression that he was at fault. He also claimed that there is a larger conspiracy against him and suggested that even people close to him could unknowingly become part of it.

"I've noticed that when you stay quiet, people either assume you're weak or believe you're the problem. That's why I've decided to respond. I was told that members of my family could unknowingly become part of a larger conspiracy without even realising it in the beginning," Govinda said.
