IPL 2025: Hardik Pandya To Leave Mumbai Indians, Join Royal Challengers Bengaluru?

If speculations and rumours doing round the internet are to be believed then Mumbai Indians' skipper Hardik Pandya is likely to leave the franchise ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). In light of the ongoing conflict between Mumbai Indians' two top players, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya for the team's captaincy, cricket fans are now expecting that Mumbai Indians team management will give the reigns to MI again to Rohit Sharma as he recently won the T20 World Cup for India.

It was also speculated that Rohit Sharma was not happy with MI's management for giving captaincy to Hardik Pandya for IPL 2024 and made him played under him, who is a junior to him. Earlier, reports suggested that Rohit Sharma has been exploring options and is in talks with a few IPL teams including Delhi Capitals.

However, it has been learned that Hardik Pandya may move to some other team as he was traded from Gujarat Titans (GT) to Mumbai Indians (MI) on the condition of the captain's post. Social media users suggested that Hardik Pandya may move to Royal Challengers Bengaluru as RCB is also in a search of a captain and set to release Faf Du Plessis.

However, no such report has been confirmed yet and only speculations are going on ahead of the IPL Mega Auction 2025.

Another reason for Hardik Pandya's release could be Mumbai Indians' performance in IPL 2024. Five-time title winner played below the average mark and even failed to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs.
