IPL 2024: Heart-Breaking News For Royal Challengers Bangalore Fans

IPL 2024: Ahead of the start of Indian Premier League 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced an early setback on Saturday after English all-rounder Tom Curran got injured during a Big Bash League (BBL) match. The RCB added Curran to its squad last month during the IPL 2024 mini-auction held at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena. He was bought for the base price of INR 1.5 crore.

According to the reports, the English cricketer sustained a knee injury that put a question mark on the all-rounder's participation in the upcoming Cash Rich League which is only three months away. The reports added that the severity of Curran's injury is still uncertain forcing the cricketer to return to the UK.

If Tom Curran decides to withdraw his name from participation in IPL 2024 and requests the RCB to relieve him, then there will be three potential replacements namely Jimmy Neesham, Jason Holder, and Keemo Paul that may join the team.

Jimmy Neesham:

A strong candidate to fill Tom Curran's shoes is the New Zealand all-rounder, Jimmy Neesham. Renowned for his consistent T20 performances on the international stage, Neesham has excelled with various teams. Despite making regular appearances in IPL franchises since his debut in 2014, representing teams like Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), he has been featured in only 14 games.

Keemo Paul:

With his dynamic abilities as a fast-bowling all-rounder, Paul provides an option for RCB to strengthen their roster and create an influence in the upcoming edition of IPL.
