Gautam Gambhir vs Virat Kohli Over BCCI's Decision Of Curbing 'Family Travel With Players'
India head coach Gautam Gambhir and star cricketer Virat Kohli have once again locked horns. Being an important part of the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), Gautam Gambhir has given a blunt reply to Virat Kohli's criticising remark against the cricket body over families travelling along with players.
At the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit, Virat Kohli had said, "I feel quite disappointed about that because it's like people who have no control over what's going on are kind of brought into conversations."

"It's very difficult to explain to people how grounding it is to just come back to your family every time you have something which is intense," Virat Kohli emphasised.
To which, Gautam Gambhir, in a conversation with Cheteshwar Pujara, said, "Families are important, but you've got to understand one thing. You are here for a purpose. It's not a holiday."
Gambhir underlined that families are important, but players must remember their primary purpose is cricket.
The BCCI recently addressed new rules regarding players' families during overseas tours. After India's Test series defeat to Australia, the BCCI implemented guidelines limiting family time with players on tours lasting 45 days or more to just 14 days.
