AICWA Demands Probe After Rajesh Sharma Falls Critically Ill During Fauji Shoot

The All-Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded an immediate investigation after actor Rajesh Sharma reportedly fell seriously ill during the shooting of Prabhas' upcoming film Fauji at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City.

Sharma's health worsened after he was allegedly bitten by an insect or a poisonous spider. He is currently being treated at a private hospital in Kolkata.

AICWA Statement Regarding This Matter

AICWA has urged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to order a high-level inquiry into the incident. The association has also asked the makers of Fauji to bear the actor's medical expenses. It said that if any negligence is found during the investigation, strict action should be taken against those responsible.

In its statement on X, AICWA said the incident has raised several questions about the safety measures on the film's set. The association wants to know whether proper medical facilities were available during the shoot and if all safety rules were being followed.
AICWA also questioned why Rajesh Sharma was not admitted to a top hospital in Hyderabad if his condition had become serious while filming. The association said the incident should be investigated in a fair and transparent manner to understand what really happened.

Sudipa Chatterjee's Post About Sharma's Health

On July 8, filmmaker Sudipa Chatterjee shared an update on social media about the incident. She claimed that Sharma was bitten by a bug or a poisonous spider after the day's shoot. According to her, the actor was talking to local technicians in a green, wooded area of Ramoji Film City when the bite happened.

Why Sharma Didn't Seek Immediate Help?

Since the bite looked minor at first, Sharma reportedly did not seek medical help immediately. But around six hours later, he started feeling severe pain in his right leg, and his health began to deteriorate.

Despite feeling unwell, the actor travelled back to Kolkata on his scheduled flight. During the journey, he developed a high fever and his condition worsened.

After landing in Kolkata, Rajesh Sharma was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Doctors are closely monitoring his condition.
