BCCI To Have New President, This Man Likely To Replace Indian Cricket Board Chief Roger Binny
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice president Rajeev Shukla is poised to assume the role of President, following Roger Binny's tenure end. As per the reports, Roger Binny's work contract can not be extended due to age restrictions outlined in the BCCI's constitution.
With Binny on the verge of turning 70 on July 19 this year, the transition in leadership is necessary.
Rajeev Shukla will serve as the interim president for the forthcoming three months.

Roger Binny, celebrated for his contribution to India's 1983 World Cup victory, has been at the helm of the BCCI since 2022, succeeding Sourav Ganguly. His cricketing career boasts participation in 27 Tests and 72 ODIs, with a total of 124 wickets. Notably, he was the leading wicket-taker in the 1983 World Cup, securing 18 wickets across eight innings, a feat that underscored his pivotal role in India's win.
Shukla's involvement with cricket administration extends beyond his current vice-presidential role at the BCCI, having commenced in 2020. Prior to this, he was at the forefront of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) as its Secretary until 2017 and led the Indian Premier League (IPL) as its chairman until 2018. His ascent to the BCCI presidency underscores his longstanding commitment and contribution to cricket administration in India.
