Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha granted bail

Ranchi, June 17: Senior BJP leader

on Wednesday was granted bail from the Hazaribagh jail, where he was lodged after he was arrested for leading a demonstration against the power crisis in Jharkhand.

This comes to light after Sinha had applied for bail, a day after he met BJP leader LK Advani. Advani after meeting Sinha said that the latter should play a bigger role in the state.

He even said that Sinha could be the right person as the Jharkhand chief minister. Sinha was arrested on June 2 and was produced in court on June 3 and sent to judicial custody after he refused to furnish a bail bond.

His judicial custody was on Monday extended till June 28.

Central BJP leaders like Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Shahnawaz Hussain met Sinha in jail last Thursday.
