Ranchi: Mother kills daughter's rapist, arrested

Ranchi, Feb 17: The mother of a five-year-old allegedly killed a man for raping her daughter, police said on Monday.

Arjun Tamba (30) succumbed to injuries inflicted by the minor's mother. The mother used an iron rod to attack him.

Police officials said that the woman had gone to work on a construction site on Saturday while her daughter was alone at home. The girl was then lured by Tamba and he raped her in his house. Upon returning from work, the daughter narrated the entire incident to the mother.

The mother in her seething anger then attacked Tamba with an iron rod and beat him to death.

Once the locals came to know about the incident the next day, they informed the police and the mother was arrested later.
