Jharkhand: SSB gun down 2 Naxals in Dumka

Ranchi, July 29: The security forces gunned down two Naxals in Jharkhand's Dumka area and recovered arms and ammunition from them on Sunday.

The encounter took place between the Naxals and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel in forests of Gopikander. One self-loading rifle, one high-explosive grenade were among other arms and ammunition recovered from them, said reports.

"Two Nnxals have been killed in the encounter that has taken place in the Gopikander police station limit of Dumka district," Additional Director General of Police, R K Mallick said, as per a PTI report.

On July 11, a CRPF jawan was killed in an encounter with Naxals in the jungles of East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.
