Pune Porsche Accident: Mother Of Techie Ashwini Koshta Demands Justice, Seeks Strict Punishment
The tragic incident in Pune, where a speeding Porsche led to the death of two IT professionals, Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhiya, has left their families in mourning. Ashwini Koshta, who was eagerly planning a surprise visit to her home in Jabalpur for her father's birthday in June, became a victim of this fatal car accident just days before the.
Ashwini's mother, Mamata Koshta, shared her daughter's plans for the surprise, which turned into a heartbreaking loss for the family. The accident occurred in Pune's Kalyani area when a 17-year-old, allegedly intoxicated, crashed his Porsche Taycan into the motorcycle Ashwini and Aneesh were riding. Aneesh was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

The aftermath of the accident saw the teenager receiving bail with conditions that included assisting the Yerwada traffic police for 15 days and writing an essay on road accidents. This decision has sparked outrage among the victims' families, with Ashwini's mother questioning the effectiveness of such measures and calling for stricter punishment.
Ashwini's father, Suresh Koshta, expressed his dissatisfaction with the legal system and urged for the implementation of laws that would prevent such tragedies. The family also emphasized the need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules to address issues like overspeeding, drunk driving, and unregistered vehicles.
The police have taken action against the teenager under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Motor Vehicles Act, with plans to seek permission for trying him as an adult. The incident has also led to the arrest of the teen driver's father, a prominent Pune builder, and three others for their role in providing alcohol to the minor. The builder has been charged under the Juvenile Justice Act and the Motor Vehicles Act for his negligence as a guardian and for the car's lack of a registered license plate due to unpaid road tax.
