Bharat Gaurav Train: Easy Travel From Pune To Prayagraj For Mahakumbh Mela 2025
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is launching a special Bharat Gaurav train connecting Pune to Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh Mela 2025. This initiative aims to provide pilgrims with a convenient and comfortable travel experience to one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. The train service is part of the Dekho Apna Desh program, promoting domestic tourism across India.
Key Details About the Bharat Gaurav Train:

- Service Duration: The train will operate from January 15 to February 23, 2025, coinciding with the Mahakumbh Mela dates.
- Train Composition: The Bharat Gaurav train will have 14 coaches with a total capacity to accommodate approximately 750 passengers.
- Boarding Stations: Passengers can board the train from multiple stations in Maharashtra, including Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, and Bhusaval.
Route and Stops:
The train will make stops at key spiritual destinations, including Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya, allowing pilgrims to experience the holy sites en route to the Mahakumbh Mela.
Package Details:
The Mahakumbh Gram IRCTC Tent City at Prayagraj package will include travel, meals, and accommodation for pilgrims attending the Mela. This all-inclusive package aims to provide a hassle-free and enriching experience for visitors to the Mahakumbh Mela.

About Mahakumbh Mela 2025:
The Mahakumbh Mela is a significant Hindu festival that attracts millions of pilgrims from across the world. The 2025 Mahakumbh Mela will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025, with the auspicious Siddhi Yoga on January 29, 2025, being a key highlight of the event.
The Mahakumbh Mela occurs once every 12 years, with the last Mahakumbh held in 2013 and the Ardh Kumbh taking place in 2019.
Government's Push for Domestic Tourism:
This special train service under the Dekho Apna Desh initiative is part of the Indian government's push to promote domestic tourism. Since its inception, the Dekho Apna Desh program has facilitated 86 train services across India, helping make domestic travel more accessible and appealing.
