Students take out rally to mark World Breastfeeding week

Puducherry, August 1: Students from various educational institutions in Puducherry today took out a rally stressing the importance of breastfeeding of children, here.

The rally was flagged off at Kamban Kalai Arangam here by Chief Minister V Narayanasamy to mark the World Breastfeeding week.

Nursing students of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research institute, Mother Theresa Institute of Post Graduate Studies and various private institutions took part in the rally.

The students were felicitated by Welfare Minister M Kandasamy and Director of Health and Family Welfare Services KV Raman.

Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services has organised several programmes to mark the week-long celebrations.
