Puducherry Assembly gets new Secretary
Puducherry, Aug 4: A Vincent Rayar, who was serving as the Director of Survey and Land Records, is the new Secretary of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly.
An official release from Chief Secretary Manoj Parida said the Lt Governor had issued the orders effecting the transfer and postings of four Puducherry Civil Service (PCS) officers with immediate effect yesterday.

The post of Secretary to Assembly Secretariat was lying vacant since July 1 after S Mohandoss had retired on June 30. Vincent Rayar would also hold under additional charge of the post of Director of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare.
While Deputy Commissioner (Excise) S Abel Rozario has been assigned the additional charge of the position of Director of Survey and Land Records, the Director of Information and Publicity N Udayakumar has been shifted to the post of Deputy Collector (Revenue) South and he would also hold the post of Director of Information and Publicity as additional charge.
Deputy District Election Officer B Thillaivel has been transferred to the post of Deputy Collector (Revenue) North and he would hold the post of Deputy Chief Electoral Officer under additional charge, the release added.
