Bihar's Renowned Para-Swimmer Shams Alam To Compete At Reykjavik International Games In Iceland

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) NCOE Gandhinagar today honoured the renowned para-swimmer Shams Alam in a special farewell ceremony as he is set to represent India at the Reykjavik International Games in Iceland from January 24-26.

On this occasion, Karthiken, in charge of NCOE Gandhinagar, wished Shams Alam a safe and successful journey.

Senior Chief Coach Reena Das and Coach Jagnarayan Singh also encouraged Shams, expressing hope for his outstanding performance. Fellow para-swimmers also participated in the farewell ceremony and extended their best wishes to him.

Shams Alam is extremely excited about the opportunity to compete at the international level.

He said, "Participating in the Reykjavik International Games is a matter of pride for me. I will give my best and try my hardest to bring glory to India. This is a wonderful opportunity to kick-start the year."

This trip will take Indian para-sports to new heights and will be another significant achievement in Shams Alam's career. The Indian sports community is eagerly awaiting his stellar performance.
