Woman gangraped by neighbours in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, Sept 21: A 35-year-old married woman was allegedly gangraped by her three neighbours in Dasna area here.

The woman was picked up and raped by the three youths when she went to a field to relieve herself late last night, according to police.

Based on her complaint, a case has been registered against the three accused, they said, adding one accused has been arrested while two others are still absconding.

"Ashu, Sonu and Teji abducted the woman and took her to an secluded location.

"The accused thrashed the woman and took turns to rape her. They also threatened her of dire consequence if she revealed her ordeal to anyone," said a police officer.

The victim informed her husband about the incident and the couple approached Masuri police.

"The woman has been sent for medical examination. Ashu has been held while Sonu and Teji would be arrested soon," the official added.
