Rajasthan shocker: 18-year-old girl confined, drugged, raped for 40 days

Jaipur, July 9: Crime against women refuses to die down, even after strict laws have been introduced to punish the culprits.

In Mansarovar area of Jaipur, the Sanganer police rescued an 18-year-old girl from the house of a contractor, who had allegedly confined and raped her several times.

According to reports, the girl was drugged by the contractor.

She somehow, managed to escape from his clutches and narrated her ordeal to police officials.

The girl, who was in semi-conscious state due to drugs, called police from a place near Dhanwantri hospital.

Immediately after getting her call, police rushed to rescue her and found injury marks on her body.

She has been admitted to a hospital and is undergoing treatment.

In her police statement, the victim has claimed that on May 27, she met the contractor, Giriraj Bairwa, who lured her with a job offer at a construction site. But, the accused, took her to his house in Mansarovar, where he kept her I confinement, drugged her and raped her everyday.
