Woman alleges sexual assault by Congress MLA in Rajasthan

, Sept 21: Rajasthan Congress party suffered another jolt on Friday, when a woman came forward and accused Udai Lal Anjana, MLA from Nimbahera of sexually exploiting her for 28-years on the pretext of marrying her.

The 45-year-old woman, who is a resident of Mundwa approached the additional district court seeking a case against the minister. The court in turn ordered the Mundwa police to register a case of sexual exploitation against Anjana, who is already married.

The victim also alleged that Anjana had forced her to have an abortion not just once, but thrice. She met the minister first in 1984, following which they had physical relationship for years. He maintained the relationship with her but refused to marry her.

The news comes in a day after minister Babu Lal Nagar submitted his resignation from the party after he was embroiled into a similar allegation involving sexual assault and rape.
