Asaram sexual assault case: MHA issues notice to 3 states
Indore, Aug 27: The controversial self-styled godman Asaram Bapu has invited more troubles to him in the case of sexual assault charges against him.
While tightening the noose over 72-year-old Asaram Bapu, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday, asked the three state governments of Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to send reports on complaints of sexual assault committed by him.
In an advisory, the MHA has asked the three states to share the status of the case and findings of investigations so far.

Asaram is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl, who was reportedly studying in his Jodhpur ashram. The girls' parents are said to be his long-term disciples.
But after the girl narrated her ordeal to her parents, they filed an FIR against the spiritual guru at the Kamla Market police station in Delhi.
Yesterday, the Jodhpur police issued summons against him and asked him to appear in court within four days.
Meanwhile, as per the latest updates, Asaram, who is in Indore, has refused the Jodhpur police team summons and asked them to meet him after 2 pm today.
Yesterday, the defiant Asaram said, "The girl is pure and blameless. Her parents are my disciples, that makes her my grand-daughter."
In her statement, the girl told police that she was taken to Asaram's room at Manai ashram on August 15 night for a ritual for which he had wanted the two of them to be alone in the room.
She has also mentioned in her statement that she was "threatened" by him to remain silent about the incident.
