Kolkata rape: Actress, main suspect's fiance helps victim

Kolkata, Feb 21: Nusrat Jahan, an actress and the fiance of the main suspect of the controversial rape case in Kolkata - Kader Khan, offered help to the Anglo-Indian woman - the victim of the case. The actress on Tuesday, Feb 21 claimed that she would do everything to fetch justice to the 37-year-old victim - a mother of two children.

Nusrat Jahan, who claimed that she has been in a relationship with Kader Khan since their college days, has been quoted as saying, "I don't know if rape was committed but if it has been, then whoever has done it deserves to be punished. I want to help police and if they want I can tell them whatever I know about him."

"I know him for long, but I never felt he could commit such a heinous act. If I knew he could do such a thing, I never would have been in a relationship with him. I think there are missing links...I want to meet the chief minister because the missing links need to be discovered," added Ms Jahan.

Kolkata police arrested three people, including the brother of Khan and a police constable. Khan and one of his accomplices absconded.

Here it can be recalled that the woman moved the police with photographs of the suspects collected from Facebook and claimed that she was gang-raped at gunpoint while returning from a night-club at Park Street on Feb 6.
