Flood situation eases in Bihar
Patna, Aug 12: Flood situation in Bihar has eased but the water level in the Ganga and two other rivers remained above the danger mark at some places in the state, according to the Disaster Management Department today.
Water level in rivers other than the Ganga, Ghaghra and Koshi receding in the affected districts, the department said in a statement.

River Ganga was flowing above danger mark in Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district, while Ghaghra remained in spate at Gangpur-Siswan area in Siwan district, while Koshi's water level was above the red mark at Baltara in Khagaria district.
Fourteen districts were gripped by recent floods resulting in death of 95 people in Bihar.
Launching massive relief operations, the Disaster Management Department had distributed 10,462 quintal flattened rice, 1,980 quintal jaggery, 9.91 lakh litres of kerosene oil, 68,584 polythene sheets, 2.45 lakh food packets among other materials to the flood-affected people, the statement added.
