JD Institute of Fashion Technology's iFestival Returns for Another Year of Design Extravaganza!
The JD Institute of Fashion Technology proudly announces the much-anticipated return of "iFestival," an extraordinary celebration of Fashion, Art, and Creativity, scheduled to take place on the 9th and 10th of August at the iconic JawaharLal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
This year, the festival takes on the inspiring theme of "Civilization 1," marking a visionary exploration into the realms of sustainability, futuristic design, and innovative creativity. This annual extravaganza, supported by JD Image Promotions Ltd., promises to be a highlight in the design world, showcasing the extraordinary creativity and innovation of students from across the country.

These aspiring students have been invited to present their prototypes, collections, and spatial designs, each infused with their unique perspectives on the theme, thereby contributing to sustainable progress and harmonious coexistence with our planet. From energy solutions to visionary architecture and eco-conscious fashion, attendees can expect a thought-provoking array of exhibits and discussions.
"Civilization 1" transcends being merely a theme; it embodies a vision of a sustainable utopia inspired by the futuristic ideals of a Type I civilization. The students are passionately developing projects that delve into the convergence of advanced energy solutions, innovative fashion, and visionary interior design. The institution is excited to see their interpretations come to life at this year's festival.
Event Highlights
The iFestival is segmented into three exciting sub-categories, each catering to different facets of the design world:
TFA - The Fashion Awards: Witness a vibrant event that ignites the future of fashion, honouring fashion icons and rising stars from diverse cultures. The event features four exclusive fashion runway presentations by JD Institute's talented students, the Jediiians. The event's crowning glory will be these runway shows, which will showcase the innovative ideas and unique styles of the emerging designers. Prepare to be dazzled by the inventive spirit, unique aesthetics, and the definitive fashion choices of India's future.
EXHIBIT X: Step into the creative world of exhibition that embodies thought-provoking prototypes, installations, and diligently crafted models by independent artists, and renowned brands and our emerging designers of JD Institute. The exhibition will invite attendees to fully engage with the innovative concepts and ideas presented by budding designers over the course of two days.
Additionally, the event will feature design speakers and alumni who will join in discussions about design's future responsibilities, fostering engagement and dialogue within the design community.
Previous exhibitions showcased various installations, and models meticulously crafted by JD Institute's aspiring designers. Noteworthy installations included:
Wired Imprints: This installation, made from discarded electronic wires and cables, raised awareness about e-waste and inspired viewers to reflect on their role in sustainability, promoting a greener, more conscious world.
Day Care POD: It was a visionary design installation for a temporary, affordable, and mobile creche for children aged 0-5 years at construction sites. This hygienic, covered space for breastfeeding toddlers used materials sourced from easily available waste, making it cost-effective.
Diverse Ties: An anamorphic installation, this highlighted ethnic diversity in a new medium. It addressed the lack of understanding and empathy between different cultural backgrounds, providing a visually stunning metaphor for how diverse elements can come together to create beauty and harmony.
CAMP 11820: Camp 11820 serves as a haven for all the artists and painters to exhibit their unique, exclusive creations and visionary concepts. Audiences are invited to be captivated by the imaginative brilliance and artistic ingenuity on display, all curated by engaging industry experts.
