Goas Casinos Shut Down For Ram Mandir Opening On January 22

The casino industry in Goa, known for its lively atmosphere and vibrant nightlife, has collectively made the decision to close its doors temporarily during a specific time frame on the auspicious day. From 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on January 22, casinos will pause their gaming activities to allow both staff and patrons the opportunity to participate in the celebrations surrounding the consecration of the Ram idol.

This voluntary suspension reflects a broader acknowledgment within the community, where establishments are coming together to observe and honor the significant cultural and religious event. The decision has been embraced by various casino operators as a way of showing solidarity and respect for the occasion.

Shrinivas Nayak, the director of the Majestic Pride group, expressed the rationale behind this collective decision. "Everybody is doing it, and why should we not do it? We have faith in Ram. We want to give time to our staff to pray and to watch the live telecast of the consecration of Ram idol," Nayak remarked.

The temporary closure during the specified hours allows both employees and visitors to take part in the religious observances and share in the collective spirit of the historic day.
