Tewari challenges BJP, asks them to declare no black money abroad

Manish Tewari challenges BJP
New Delhi, Oct 19: After Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi criticized the UPA government for ordering excavation around the fort site in Unnao, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari hit out at the BJP and said that the party members need to declare that they have no black money stashed either in India or abroad.

Tewari lashed out at the Opposition and said that the difficulty with the party and its ‘various pretenders and prime ministerial aspirants is that there is a huge gap and deficit between their rhetoric and their delivery.'

Tewari: Black money should be forfeited and confiscated by govt

He went on to add that the BJP, its chief ministers, its MPs and its MLAs should make a declaration that they have no black money stashed either in the country or abroad. "And if at all they have such black money, is should be forfeited and confiscated by the government," he said.

We have the BJP talk about the question of black money now for four years, but have they stepped up to the plate. Have their leaders decided that they would unilaterally suo-moto make a declaration that none of them has any black money in India," he questioned.
