Support to Mumbai blast mastermind Hafiz Saeed: India condemns Pakistan's decision
New Delhi, Dec 4: India condemned Pakistan's support to 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed-led JuD for the terror group's two-day congregation in Lahore.
India termed it as a "blatant disregard" of global norms against terrorism.
"Supporting UN-sanctioned individual or entity is blatant disregard of global norms against terrorism," government sources said.
Pakistan government is running two special trains to transport people to Lahore for the terror group's congregation starting on Thursday, as a sign of official patronage to JuD.
Pakistan Railways had operated the first train from Wednesday from Hyderabad, Sindh province, that will arrive in Lahore on Thursday night. Another train will leave from Karachi and arrive Lahore on Thursday. The two special trains will also take the people back to their hometowns on the conclusion of the congregation.
The JuD leadership had spoken to Railways Minister Saad Rafique for his permission to run special trains for its congregation, according to official sources in Pakistan.
In 2008, the UN Security Council had added Pakistan-based JuD terrorist group and four of its leaders to the list of entities and organisations known to support Al Qaeda and the Taliban.
