Money On His Mind...: Unhappy Anna Hazare Criticises Arvind Kejriwal, Reminds Him Jan Lokpal Bill Movement

The stage is all set for a furious contest for Delhi's 70 Assembly Seats between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Indian National Congress (INC). The single-phase polling will be held on February 5, 2025, and results will be announced 3 days later on February 8, 2025.

But ahead of the big day, former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Paty supremo Arvind Kejriwal's political guru, Anna Hazare has come out all guns blazing and expressed his anger. Anna Hazare, a renowned activist, said Arvind Kejriwal "forgot his suggestions and ran after money".

Anna Hazare said it is really unfortunate that he has changed. "One should always keep his behaviour and views clean in life," he said. Anna added that one should always "Keep life spotless and learn to make sacrifices. Walk on the path of truth."

Unhappy Anna Hazare said, "there was always money on his (Arvind Kejriwal's) mind".

Comparing Kejriwal with other top leaders, who were part of the India Against Corruption movement, Anna Hazare said, former IPS Kiran Bedi and others started Anna Ki Pathshala (school) initiatives, and he chose to chase money and slipped.

For the unversed, former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is out on bail in the Delhi Excise policy case and a hefty amount is said to be involved.

In last assembly election, Arvind Kejriwal's AAP registered a land slide victory by securing 62 seats out of 70. However, this time, AAP has to face anti-incumbency, and Opinion polls have predicted his numbers to come down, but he is likely to retain power.
