Lok Sabha polls: AAP receives over Rs 1 cr after Kejriwal tweets
According to reports, the AAP has received over Rs 1 crore as donations in the last 36 hours. This after Kejriwal arrived in Varanasi on Tuesday morning and sought donations to fight the Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi.
Kejriwal tweeted-
Shortly after this AAP received more than Rs 80 lakhs in less than 24 hours and Rs 22 lakhs in the next 12 hours. The maximum number of donations have come from Delhi, Maharastra, UP, Karnataka, Haryana and others.
Meanwhile in another incident, the AAP raised Rs 18 lakhs through an art auction. The art auction was held online in which the art works of many well known artists were auctioned in order to raise money for the party.
The artworks were donated to the party by some art collectors.
