Liquor Ban in Delhi? This Political Party Promises To Ban Alcohol, Increase Widow Pension To Rs 5000

Contesting in the Delhi elections for the first time, Om Prakash Rajbhar's Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) has fielded candidates on 3 seats, and on Friday, the party unveiled its manifesto and election promises. SBSP has promised voters of Delhi to cut down on LPG cylinder price, and increase the widow pensions. At a time, when frontrunners AAP, BJP, and Congress are promising to give Rs 1100 to 3000 to women of Delhi, Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party has promised to raise widow pension to Rs 5,000.

The SBSP has also made a proposal to make the Indian Constitution a compulsory subject in schools and advocate an alcohol ban in the national capital.

The manifesto was released by Arvind Rajbhar, SBSP's national general secretary and former Uttar Pradesh minister, along with Delhi SBSP president Dharamveer. Senior party leaders like Shakti Singh, Piyush Mishra, Chandresh Pratap Yadav, and Balli Chaudhary were also present at the manifesto release event.

"SBSP is here to be the voice of those who have been ignored for too long. Our manifesto is not just a document, it is a promise to the people of Delhi. We are committed to empowering marginalised communities, providing employment for youth, and ensuring quality education and healthcare for all," Arvind Rajbhar said at the event.

The SBSP also aims to provide a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000 for temple priests and mosque maulanas.
