Kejriwal Hits Back At Rahul Gandhi's Poll Rally Criticisms Ahead Of Delhi Elections

A fiery political exchange took place in Delhi as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a direct attack on Arvind Kejriwal, accusing the AAP leader of failing to address major issues such as pollution, corruption, and inflation in the national capital.

Gandhi also drew comparisons between Kejriwal's leadership and that of former Congress Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, questioning whether the promises made by Kejriwal to tackle corruption and pollution had been fulfilled.

"Pollution, corruption, and inflation are on the rise in Delhi," Gandhi stated during his rally. He further accused Kejriwal of using the same strategy as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, involving "propaganda and false promises." Gandhi's remarks added fuel to the already tense political atmosphere in the lead-up to the Delhi elections.

Kejriwal's Response: "I Will Not Comment on His Statements"

In his rebuttal, Kejriwal chose not to engage directly with Gandhi's attacks. Instead, he focused on his own goals, particularly his commitment to the country's welfare. "Today Rahul Gandhi came to Delhi. He abused me a lot. But I will not comment on his statements," Kejriwal said, adding that his focus is on the larger mission of saving the country, while Gandhi's fight is centred around saving Congress.

Kejriwal's comments reflected a clear attempt to distance himself from personal political squabbles and reaffirm his focus on the national interest.

The Growing Rift Between Congress and AAP

The verbal clash between Gandhi and Kejriwal highlights the widening divide between Congress and AAP. Both parties, which were once allies in the anti-BJP INDIA bloc, have decided to contest the Delhi elections separately. This decision further complicates their political relationship and signals a new era of rivalry.

Delhi Elections on the Horizon

With the Delhi elections fast approaching on February 5, both parties are bracing for a tough contest. The outcome of the elections, with results to be announced on February 8, will play a significant role in determining the political future of both Congress and AAP in the capital.

As the rivalry between Kejriwal and Gandhi escalates, Delhi's voters will be faced with the challenge of deciding which party and leader can best address the pressing issues of the city and represent their interests in the coming years.
