This is the first time CJP has claimed that someone from government side has contacted them since the time protest has started.

Party Says It Is Ready for Dialogue

Earlier in the morning Saurav Das told ANI that CJP leaders are ready to talk to government if the discussions came forward.

"They have come very late, but we have opened our hearts and said that we are willing to talk to them. There has been no clarity from their side as of now. The ball is in their court," he said.

However, the nothing coming from the government side makes this claims unverified till the government says that the meeting has been taken place or the talks have been started.

Interestingly, the protest took a major boom after the climate activist Sonam Wangchuk who was on the hunger strike since last 20 days has been shifted to Safdarjung Hospital on 18 July. CJP has made allegations that government forcefully took him to the hospital. After this, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke also started hunger strike.
