Gangster Chhota Rajan lands in Delhi after being deported from Indonesia
New Delhi, Nov 6: Gangster Chhota Rajan who was deported from Bali, Indonesia has arrived in New Delhi. He was brought to Delhi amidst high security in a special aircraft. A team of CBI officials that accompanied him will take him into custody after completing the necessary procedures.
Rajan will be subject to a medical test and also produced before a court where his custody will be sought. The CBI will for now handle all cases against Rajan. The decision to transfer the cases to the CBI was taken by the Maharashtra government. Rajan who was arrested in Bali was deported to India last night.

Rajan who should have have been deported yesterday was stuck in Bali as the airports were shut due to a volcanic eruption.
Rajan had indicated that he did not feel safe in Mumbai and had even accused that some of the police personnel were hand-in-glove with the Dawood gang. The CBI, which is the nodal agency for interpol-related affairs in India will question Rajan and investigate cases against him.
The Maharashtra government, which was in talks with Delhi decided to transfer all the cases against Rajan which are around 65 in number. Rajan will be provided heavy security on his arrival at New Delhi.
A special aircraft had been sent by by India to fly Rajan back from Bali. On his way to the Bali airport, he was provided with a special escort and a bullet proof car. There have been intelligence inputs which suggest that his life is at risk. Moreover, another alert suggested that he may not be safe in Mumbai where the D-gang is said to be extremely powerful.
