Delhi Weather Alert: Persisting Heatwaves? Weather Forecast From Today Till 10th June

According to the India Meteorological Department's Regional Centre in Delhi, it seems that heatwaves are not going anywhere despite the previous day's forecast assuming them to end by today.

Yellow Alerts have been given out for today, 4 June, as well as tomorrow and day after, 5-6 June, both for the heatwaves today, and for storms coming later. Still, if the current trend of forecasts continues, readers may want to leave aside their hopes that heatwaves will stop any time soon.

Delhi Temperatures And Weather Over The Next Week:

4 June see's parts of North Delhi like Jafarpur, Mungeshpur, Najafgarh, Narela, Pitampura, and Pusa reaching temperatures of up to 45°C, similar to yesterday. The places, also like yesterday, would qualify as undergoing a heatwave according to the heatwave index in IMD's bulletin board. The rest of the union territory has been forecast to also experience high temperatures, reaching upwards of 43°C to 44°C.

Minimum temperatures in the region will hover between 28°C to 30°C, with exceptions being Narela and Ridge which may go even lower.

There are also expectations of light rain during the evening from today, 4 June, till 7 June. The rains, however, may not have a significant impact on the temperature itself, as the rest of the week forecasts high temperatures for all parts of Delhi.
