Delhi Rain Alert: Bracing For Intense Downpours Amid Ongoing Water Logging Issues - IMD Forecast
In the coming days, Delhi is expected to experience increased rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Recent weather reports indicate light showers on Wednesday, following a heavy downpour with strong winds the day before.

Delhi Braces For Intense Rains
These conditions led to severe waterlogging and traffic jams in various parts of the city. The Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's main weather station, recorded 10.1 mm of rain between 2:30 am and 5:30 pm on Wednesday. Other weather stations reported varying amounts of rainfall: Palam recorded 25.4 mm, Lodhi Road 5 mm, and Ridge 3.9 mm.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) responded to six waterlogging complaints by 6 pm from areas such as Chittaranjan Park, Uttam Nagar, and Karol Bagh. Issues with power supply disruptions were also addressed, as reported by Business Today.
IMD forecasts suggest that the intensity of rainfall will likely escalate further in the upcoming days. Areas like ITO, Akshardham, Lodi Road, and parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) may experience light rain and drizzles during the evenings.
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi reached 36.4 degrees Celsius, slightly above the seasonal average. Daytime humidity levels ranged from 86% to 98%, as reported by Business Today.
Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions amid the anticipated heavy rainfall and its potential impact on daily activities and infrastructure.
