Delhi Metro Yellow Line Disruption: Commuters Face Delays Due to Heavy Rain

Delhi Metro Yellow Line commuters experienced major delays between Vishwavidyalaya and Central Secretariat due to heavy rainfall in the Delhi-NCR region. The disruption occurred during peak office and school hours, affecting thousands of passengers across the city.

Commuters Report Extended Travel Times

Despite the issue on the Yellow Line corridor, services across the rest of the Delhi Metro network remained largely unaffected. Passengers reported that journeys from Vishwavidyalaya to GTB Nagar, which normally take minutes, extended to nearly 50 minutes, causing frustration and inconvenience for daily commuters.

DMRC Efforts to Restore Services

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) confirmed that efforts are underway to gradually restore services on the affected section. Officials assured passengers that operations will be normalised as soon as possible.

Commuters also shared their experiences on social media, highlighting the disruption at stations like Hauz Khas, which serves both the Yellow and Magenta lines, emphasizing the challenges faced during the delay.
