Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill likely to be passed in indoor stadium on Feb 16

New Delhi, Jan 31: The Delhi Cabinet is likely to clear the Jan Lokpal Bill on February 3 and it could be passed in a special assembly session at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on February 16. It was also reported that a sepcial session of the Delhi Assembly will be held from February 13 and 16 to pass the Janlokpal Bill.

The Delhi Cabinet deferred the decision on Janlokpal Bill earlier in the day.

Earlier, it was told that the Cabinet would take up the Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill on Friday, more than a month since the Aam Aadmi Party assumed office in the state.

"The Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill will most probably be taken up by Cabinet tomorrow (Friday), and it should be passed by the Assembly in 10 to 15 days," the PTI quoted Kejriwal as saying on Thursday.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that corruption has been reduced considerably, adding that AAP volunteers have been visiting various government departments to check corruption among officials.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal said on Friday that the vendors on the streets of New Delhi wouln't be removed.
