Delhi Elections: BJP Names 29 Candidates in Second List, Including Kapil Mishra and Harish Khurana
The BJP on Saturday revealed its second list of 29 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections 2025. In the latest update, Kapil Mishra will contest from Karawal Nagar, Harish Khurana from Moti Nagar, and Priyanka Gautam, who recently joined the BJP from AAP, will be fielded from Kondli.

The BJP has also fielded Priyanka Gautam, who recently joined the party from AAP, from the Kondli Assembly seat.
This announcement follows a meeting between BJP National President JP Nadda and the Delhi Assembly Election Management Committee.
With this second list, the BJP has now named candidates for 58 of the 70 Delhi Assembly seats.
On January 4, the BJP released its first list of 29 candidates, including former MP Parvesh Verma, who will contest the New Delhi seat against former chief minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.
Another former MP, Ramesh Bidhuri, has been nominated from Kalkaji, where Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi is also in the race.
The Delhi Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8.
The last date for filing nominations is January 17, followed by the scrutiny of nominations on January 18, and the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is January 20.
Meanwhile, the war of words between the BJP and AAP has escalated.
AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the BJP had decided to field former MP Ramesh Bidhuri as its chief ministerial candidate, prompting the BJP to dismiss this as a "baseless rumor."
Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed Kejriwal, accusing him of spreading falsehoods for political gain.
"Can Kejriwal decide the BJP's chief ministerial candidate? Who is he to make such claims?" Shah asked while addressing the 'Jhuggi Basti Pradhan Sammelan,' adding that the people of Delhi understood his tactics.
