SSC CGL Exam Cancelled in Gurugram, Protests Erupt At Test Venue

Chaos erupted outside MM Public School in Gurugram's Sector 4 on Friday. Candidates who arrived for the Staff Selection Commission's Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025 discovered that their exams had been cancelled. This unexpected cancellation led to significant unrest among the candidates, officials reported.

Technical Issues Lead to Exam Cancellation

The exam was called off due to technical glitches in the SSC server. Although the server resumed functioning after the first shift, candidates from this shift disrupted proceedings. They blocked entry for those scheduled for the second shift, causing further chaos at the venue.

Police Intervention and Damage Control

Upon receiving reports of the disturbance, a police team was dispatched to manage the situation. The agitated candidates had already caused damage to the school gate by then. The police managed to pacify them and restore order at the scene.

No Complaints Filed Yet

Manoj Gupta, head of the examination centre, explained that police intervention was necessary to maintain peace. Despite the disorder and damage caused, a senior police officer confirmed that no formal complaints have been lodged by the school management regarding this incident.

The disruption highlights issues with organisational preparedness for such large-scale examinations. It underscores the need for robust systems to prevent similar occurrences in future exams.
