A major conspiracy allegedly hatched to defame Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in Punjab politics now appears to be completely unraveling. The very video that opposition parties and certain political forces had been using to create confusion and spread misinformation has turned out to be fake, exactly as CM Bhagwant Singh Mann had maintained from day one. He consistently stated that the video was fabricated and demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.

The Chief Minister has now made it clear that the individual seen in the viral video is not him, but an actor who bears a resemblance to him. A forensic examination of 1,191 frames reportedly found that not a single frame matched CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. This was not merely a misleading video but a calculated attempt to tarnish the image of Punjab's democratically elected Chief Minister and undermine the mandate given by the people of Punjab.

Over the past four years, the Bhagwant Mann Government has taken several significant initiatives to uphold Panth's values and preserve Punjab's heritage. The government has worked continuously to spread the teachings of the Gurus, develop religious sites and strengthen Punjab's cultural identity. Against this backdrop, the use of a fake video to damage the Chief Minister's reputation is being viewed by many as a reflection of political desperation.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann has directed the DGP to identify all those involved in this conspiracy and ensure that the culprits are traced and brought before the law, regardless of where they may be. The message is clear: the politics of falsehood, fabrication and conspiracy will not be tolerated in Punjab.

Now that the forensic examination is reportedly validating the Chief Minister's position, the issue is no longer just about a fake video. It has become a question of truth versus falsehood. The people of Punjab are witnessing a contrast between those who sought to create confusion and a Chief Minister who has consistently stood for investigation, transparency and truth.

The politics of fake videos may create confusion for a short period, but the truth cannot remain hidden indefinitely. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann's position was clear on the very first day and remains unchanged today: the video is fake, a fair investigation must take place, and those responsible must be held accountable.
