A Manifesto Based on Public Aspirations

Describing the manifesto as a "matter of trust," Shah emphasized its credibility by revealing that inputs were gathered from over 1.08 lakh individuals and 62,000 groups. This participatory approach underscores the BJP's commitment to addressing the concerns of Delhi residents.

Shah Slams Kejriwal Government for Broken Promises

Amit Shah launched a scathing critique of the current AAP-led Delhi government, accusing it of misleading voters with false promises. He referenced Arvind Kejriwal's previous pledge to refrain from providing bungalows to ministers, saying, "Kejriwal promised no minister would take government bungalows, yet they live in luxurious houses, including a lavish 'Sheesh Mahal.'"

Shah also highlighted unfulfilled promises like cleaning the Yamuna River and the worsening garbage and pollution crises, accusing the Kejriwal administration of turning Delhi into a hub of corruption.

Alleged Scams Under AAP Government

The BJP leader listed a series of alleged scams under the AAP government, including:

  • Delhi Jal Board Scam
  • Ration Distribution Scam
  • DTC Scam
  • CCTV Installation Scam
  • Medical Test Scam

Shah further criticized AAP's expenditure on advertisements, claiming it drained resources meant for essential services like waste management.

Key Promises in BJP's 'Sankalp Patra'

Shah outlined several transformative initiatives aimed at addressing Delhi's critical challenges, including:

  • Corruption-free governance to rebuild public trust.
  • Regularisation of over 1,700 unauthorised colonies, benefiting lakhs of residents.
  • Reopening of 1,300 sealed shops through a dedicated judicial authority.
  • Ownership rights for refugees from Pakistan living on leased properties.
  • Eradication of manual scavenging, ensuring dignity for sanitation workers.
  • Insurance coverage for media professionals and lawyers, offering up to ₹10 lakh for health, life, and accident claims.

A Vision for Change

Shah emphasized that BJP's governance model, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has consistently delivered inclusive and transformative development across India. He urged Delhi voters to choose the BJP for a brighter, corruption-free future.

"AAP finds excuses for inaction, citing demands for full statehood. Did they not know Delhi's status when they made promises? Making excuses is their habit," he said, urging voters to reject AAP's governance model.

BJP's Double-Engine Governance Model

Highlighting the success of BJP-led governments nationwide, Shah said, "Wherever BJP has been given a mandate, our double-engine governance has transformed states. PM Modi has instilled confidence that comprehensive development is possible while upholding democratic values."

The Road Ahead

With its 'Sankalp Patra,' BJP aims to provide solutions for Delhi's pressing issues and usher in a new era of progress and transparency. Shah concluded by urging Delhiites to place their trust in BJP's leadership for meaningful and lasting change.
