AAP in a fix to field Lal Bahadur Shastri's grandson from Lucknow
According to a report in The Economic Times (read here), the party wants to field Lal Bahadur Shastri's grandson Adarsh Shastri from Lucknow against BJP's Rajnath Singh.
But the party is in a fix now as it is waiting for the Congress to announce its candidate for the Allahabad constituency so that they can decide who will represent the AAP from Lucknow.
The AAP feels that apart from Lucknow, Adarsh Shastri could also be a strong candidate from Allahabad, which used to be his grandfather's constituency. "But Adarsh's father is likely to contest from Allahabad and if that happens, the AAP does want him to contest against his father," said an AAP member.
In case Adarsh's father does not contest from Allahabad, the party also has a choice to field Adarsh from Allahabad. "Or else its Lucknow for him," says AAP.
