Death Threat To Nitin Gadkari? Maharashtra Police Arrests Man Who Gave Threat To Blowup Union Minister's House

The Maharashtra Police has apprehended the person responsible for a bomb threat targeting Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's home in Nagpur. The threat was made on Sunday morning at 8:46 AM, claiming that Gadkari's residence on Wardha Road would be destroyed.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 1, Rishikesh Reddy, stated that a call was received around 9:00 AM on the emergency helpline 112. The caller claimed a bomb had been planted at Gadkari's residence and was about to detonate. The bomb squad was immediately dispatched, and security personnel were alerted.

Investigation and Arrest

The police quickly informed the local station after receiving the alarming call. Pratap Nagar Police registered a case against an unknown individual and began their investigation. Authorities have now confirmed that Umesh Vishnu Raut has been arrested shortly after the threat.

Raut, residing on Tulsi Bagh Road, Mahal, works at a nearby country liquor shop near Medical Chowk. He made the threatening call from his mobile phone, claiming he would blow up Gadkari's house within 10 minutes. Police tracked him down and arrested him near Bima Dawakhana in Nagpur.

Security Measures

Nitin Gadkari was in Nagpur during the threat but is reportedly safe. Authorities assure the public that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure his continued safety. The police are diligently working to maintain security at Gadkari's residence.
