Milk Price to Rise by Rs 5 As A New Year Gift For Farmers
In a significant boost for dairy farmers, Minister of Animal Husbandry and Sericulture K Venkatesh announced that the milk procurement price will be increased by Rs 5 per litre.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Milk Federation's newly constructed office by Mymul, costing Rs 1.15 crore at the APMC Yard in T Narsipur taluk, Mysuru district, the minister confirmed the current procurement price stands at Rs 33 per litre.
Venkatesh further added that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has given his approval to raise the price as a New Year's gift to farmers. "We will ensure that the entire Rs 5 increase benefits the farmers directly," he said.
