International Women's Day celebrated in Mysore
The tour, keeping in mind Women's Day was for the women, by the women and also about women.
The tour focussed on the contribution of women and how important they have been in the society. Stories discussed during the tour mentioned the first woman link of Mysore, who won a George cross to the first woman graduate in South India, who also happens to be from Mysore.
The tour was a good mix of stories from the past and the present, history and architecture.It was aimed at creating awareness among the women and making them realise their own strengths.
