The act of exchanging cash was caught on the bank's CCTV camera that has been seized by the police
A senior bank cashier with State bank of Mysore was suspended for exchanging demonetised notes for new currency notes. The entire act was caught on CCTV installed in the bank.
The cashier identified as Parashivamurthy, worked in Kollegala branch of SBM is accused of exchanging demonetised notes on commission basis for a gold businessman in the city. The police have registered a case against the cashier and the businessman identified as Venugopal.
The duo's act of exchanging cash was caught on the bank's CCTV camera that has been seized by the police. The cashier is accused of accepting Rs 30 lakh for the Rs 1 crore that he exchanged illegally.
