Pothole menace: Woman crushed under speeding bus in Mumbai

Mumbai, July 9: In a tragic incident, Mumbai residents are enraged after a woman was crushed to death when the bike she was riding pillion hit a pothole and toppled over. A private bus dragged the body of the woman who came under the bus after the fall.

According to NDTV report, the woman, Manisha Bhoir, who worked at a school in Kalyan was returning home on the motorbike with a family member on Sunday evening when the accident took place.

The incident at Shivaji Chowk on Saturday evening was caught on closed-circuit television or CCTV cameras. Police said the bus driver, who fled from the spot, has been identified.

In the CCTV footage, it is seen Bhoir, riding pillion, is holding the umbrella for the man and trying to protect herself as well from the rain.
