CM Shinde gave this assurance in a meeting with the Federation of Labourers. The central government has also increased the dearness allowance for its employees from 46 to 50 percent. A proposal has been prepared by the Additional Chief Secretary of the State Finance Department.

The federation representatives have demanded quick approval of this proposal. They also emphasized issuing a notification regarding the revised pension scheme as announced in the assembly. Like the central government and 25 other states, Maharashtra aims to increase the retirement age to 60 years.
